Short SWIM LEGS FOR FIRST TIME OCEAN SWIMMERS
The 2026 Sunshine Coast Solstice Swim at Alexandra Headland Beach is the "fun and must do" community swim on the Sunshine Coast.
Every year ocean swimming enthusiasts from near and far gather to swim their preferred swim distance under the watchful eyes of the Alex Surf lifesavers in IRB's and boards.
It is the ONLY swim on the coast where every dollar raised is put back into the local community.
It's the swimming communities way of having fun and showing support for the many volunteer organisations on the coast who do such amazing work.

Summary Information
All swimmers will have timing anklets and instant distance times for you on the club page immediately on swim completion. (thank you multi-sport)
Distances will be the same as last year, BUT with SUPERSIZED ex-Ironman Buoys and and swim courses optimised for conditions on the day.
- 50m (or less) “nearly naked splash" in support of Wichlist “Give me 5”
- 500m
- 1km
- 3km
- 5km swim distances.
The amazing Alex Surf Lifesavers will be on water in boards and IRB's ensuring your safety.
All swimmers will receive:
- Coloured swim cap for their particular distance
- Iconic Solstice Swim T shirt
- Fruit & drink after swim
- Instant swim completion time
- Position in male or female age group
