PRIDE OF WORKMANSHIP

A Rotary Vocational Service Project

Pride of Workmanship is a long held Rotary position. We believe “Pride of Workmanship”- the sense of responsibility to do a job well, (Do it once – do it well) is one of the greatest intangible assets in our community.

The Pride of Workmanship Award is designed to acknowledge an employee, irrespective of age or vocation, who, in the eyes of their employer, displays outstanding qualities in terms of approach, attitude, dedication and commitment to their job. 

"Do it once, Do it well.  Build a better Australia"

 

The Award is intended to cover all aspects of work performance and ethics, inclusive of quality and quantity of output, safety, initiative, sense of responsibility, etc. 

 

Pride of Workmanship is not a competition. It is a recognition of individual achievement and commitment.

 

Employers should be guided to ensure that the Awardee they sponsor is seen by their peers and fellow workers in their organisation as a worthy recipient of the award.

 

The awards are presented at a special Pride of Workmanship Awards function held by the Rotary Club.

 

The Awardee and partner are guests of the club at the presentation event.

 

The employers and representatives from the awardee’s firm/organisation are invited to that function as paying guests.

 

The Awards presentation will be promoted in local media and provide additional promotion for the nominating business.
